FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Q: What is the capacity of the venue?
A: The fire marshal capacity of the property is 300 guests between the porch, main hall, and pavilion. The maximum capacity with tables and chairs for a seated event in the main hall is 150.
Stone River is best suited for cocktail-style events with 200-300 guests or seated events with 150 or less guests. Additional seating can be arranged outside on the covered pavilion or porch.
Q: What time can I access the property during my rental?
A: You may rent for either a half-day (6 hours) or a full-day (12 hours). Your rental time must cover set-up/decorating through clean-up, or the earliest through the latest anyone can be on property for any reason. You may choose any 6 hour or 12 hour block that you wish, up to 12 AM.
For example, a 12 PM - 12 AM rental would mean the earliest access time for decorating, vendor set-up, etc. would be 12 PM. Subsequently, all clean up would be finished and we would be locking up by 12 AM.
Q: What is included with the rental?
A: A booking at Stone River includes access to the venue for the contracted hours, (75) private parking spaces, (1) private suite, (100) chairs, (10) round tables, (5) rectangular tables, (5) cocktail tables, and various A/V equipment including a projector, screen, and microphone. Additional inventory is available for rent. Please inquire.
Q: Do you handle set up and break down?
A: We will set up and break down all of our own equipment (tables, chairs, and anything else you rent from us) in accordance with the layout you create at your 30 day walkthrough. All other decor and equipment must be set up and broken down by you or another contracted vendor.
Q: Do you allow outside catering?
A: Absolutely! Stone River does not provide catering in-house. So, we welcome you to bring any licensed and insured caterer on-site. You can find a list of our local favorites here.
Q: Do you have a kitchen? Can my caterer cook on-site?
A: We do have a kitchen on-site, but it is for prep only. The kitchen features ample prep space, a 3 compartment sink, and an ice machine. Caterers may cook outside the building.
Q: Can I utilize the green space by the river for my event?
A: While Stone River does not personally own the river-front lawn, we can coordinate with the owner and other parties to confirm that your date is available. This will result in an add-on fee. Please inquire for details.
Q: For wedding rentals, is a rehearsal included?
A: We include a 1 hour ceremony rehearsal time prior to the wedding. However, having the rehearsal the evening before the wedding is not guaranteed unless you privately book that date, as well. Otherwise, the date of the rehearsal is subject to availability. Please note this is not a rehearsal dinner; this is a ceremony practice time.
Q: For wedding rentals, are ceremony chairs included?
A: We include (100) black chiavari chairs in every package, with more available for rent. This is the only type of chair we have in-house. Most wedding guests use our chairs for the reception and rent a different style/color chair for the ceremony from a third party vendor.
Q: Do you allow outside bartending services?
A: No. Stone River must be in your in-house provider of alcohol, should you desire bar service at the event. More information our packages can be found here.
Q: Do I have to pick out a bar package when I book the venue?
A: No. You will select your bar package and sign a bar contract at your 30 day walkthrough, if you want alcohol served at the event.
Q: What Stone River staff members, if any, will be present on my event day? Is a day-of coordinator provided?
A: An Event Host will be provided at every event. This staff member is responsible for the venue that day. Your Event Host is NOT at a day-of coordinator and Stone River does not provide this service in-house. We strongly recommend hiring a third party vendor to coordinate your event.
Bar staff will be hired by Stone River should this service be contracted; there is usually 1 bartender per 50 guests. Bartenders are $140 each.
Q: I’ve reviewed the photos and pricing on the website and am interested in moving forward. What’s the next step?
A: Wonderful! Please reach out to us using our contact form and we will schedule a time for you to view the property in person and review the rental contract with a staff member. You may place a hold on your preferred date after the meeting/tour. You will then have 7 days to return the contract and deposit in order to officially book.
